Browser Wars

Whoa! For the first time over half the Site visitors are browsing with Firefox.

Is this a blip, or are the various versions of MS Explorer really loosing ground?

More interestingly - is this reflected on other sites? Does it depend on the type of site?

Comments welcome, especially if you can shed some light on any of the above.

I use Firefox because it has a Welsh language package, which IE does not, despite the fact that Windows does.

Ordovicius, I hadn’t thought of a language connection, though probably not a major specific factor re my own web traffic.

I was wondering if say Libertarian/Right/Left blogs might attract more Firefox users than some other categories. Or if Firefox is gradually gaining the ascendancy.

I get similar stats showing on my blog.

Thanks Shades. Not just me then.

Firefox is 3 times faster for me. Much better. I would want free internet fees if I was forced to go back to IE.

I much prefer Firefox too. It's far better than IE.

I think I too prefer Firefox on balance.
